Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences sets up expert groups for rice, corn, soybean, rape and vegetable industries

On January 12, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences launched five industrial expert groups of rice, corn, soybean, rape and vegetables.

At the launch meeting, Wu Kongming, a member of the party group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and President of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, awarded a plaque and a letter of appointment to the head of the industry expert group. Wu Kongming pointed out that the establishment of the industrial expert group of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences is in line with the needs of industrial development. The institutionalized, organized and normalized scientific and technological support team system for stable production and supply has implemented the last key link of the application of scientific and technological achievements and the serve industry, the new model for scientific and technological support for industrial development have been established. 


Wu Kongming stressed that the industrial expert group has four important tasks. First, to bear in mind the duty and mission of scientific and technological support to ensure stable production and supply. Second, to improve the mechanism for condensing scientific research topics from production practice. Third, we must do our best to serve the government, enterprises, farmers and scientific. Fourth, to create a good environment and conditions to further stimulate the enthusiasm and positivity of the experts to participate in scientific and technological services to stabilize production and ensure supply. In the future, China will successively establish industrial expert groups covering food and important agricultural products, follow the "layout in peacetime, practical in wartime" guarantee model, and form a long-term mechanism to stabilize production and ensure supply.
