Since the release of the "T/CCFAGS 019-2020 Operational Specifications for Fruit and Vegetable Reusable Plastic Crates" in 2020, the use of standardized fruit and vegetable reusable plastic crates (referred to as "crates" below) has become an industry consensus. An increasing number of chain retailers, fruit and vegetable wholesalers, distributors, as well as rural cooperatives and growers, have partially or fully adopted crates in their operations. Through continuous practice, they have summarized more common operational standards for crates, such as the maximum load capacity per crate and the spacing for stacking fruits and vegetables.
After multiple rounds of discussions, the industry has now formally released the "T/CCFAGS 019-2023 Operational Specifications for Fruit and Vegetable Reusable Plastic Crates" today, building upon the previous version to provide updated guidelines for the operation of crates in the industry.
