The SAFE training has been instrumental in advancing sustainable agricultural management practices in Chayouzhongqi.

The training program, "Supporting Scheme for MSMEs by Building Sustainable Agricultural Fresh Food Production and Logistics in China (SAFE)", was successfully completed on June 27 at the Shuangfeng Cooperative in Chayouzhongqi. A total of 25 trainees completed the training and received their certificates.

The People's Government of Chayouzhongqi, the Xi'an Rural Development Public Welfare and Charity Foundation, and other organizations collaborated to provide the training. The China Chain Store and Franchise Association and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences were invited to provide training and guidance on sustainable agricultural development. The goal was to provide growers with bud management techniques, improve potato yields and quality, and enhance the comprehensive knowledge and capabilities of trainees. Furthermore, the objective was to provide local farmers with the knowledge and tools to manage potatoes and agriculture in a sustainable manner.

Zhou Hui, associate researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, addressed food safety management, product quality and safety assurance, and sustainable management practices. The objective was to enhance planting capacity for growers, improve product quality, promote sustainable agricultural models, strengthen occupational health and safety management, and elevate the competitiveness of agricultural products in the market.

After the training, Wang Wenhua, deputy secretary-general of the China Chain Store and Franchise Association, presented certificates to representatives of the eight cooperatives and 17 growers for the SAFE.

The training enabled trainees to gain expertise in potato field management, pest control and food safety during the budding period, while also enhancing their sustainable agricultural management and food safety management of agricultural products.
