Training on supporting scheme for MSMEs by building sustainable agricultural fresh food production and logistics in China (SAFE) helps Fuyuan City and Tongjiang City in Heilongjiang Province Improve Agricultural Food Safety and Sustainable Management Leve

On August 28, the SAFE Project training successfully concluded in Fuyuan City, Heilongjiang Province. Twenty-five small and medium-sized suppliers and professional cooperatives from Fuyuan and Tongjiang participated in the training and were awarded "Second-Level Trainer" certificates.

This training was strongly supported by the local municipal government and the Market Supervision Bureau. Relevant leaders attended the meeting and unanimously expressed their hope to improve the quality management level of agricultural products through training, strengthen production and sales exchanges and connections, and help local characteristic high-quality agricultural products enter the national market.

The training invited quality control leaders from RT Mart, Xiabu Group, Hexing Group, and Zhangliang Group to introduce the requirements for product access review and quality control in chain enterprises; Additionally, experts from third-party organizations, including SGS Group and Shanghai Yuezi Business Consulting Co., Ltd., provided detailed explanations on compliance requirements for food labeling and critical points in managing foreign substances in food; The food safety manager from the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) international organization shared the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and international food safety concepts and standards; Lastly, project expert Mr. Xiong Chuanwu provided a detailed explanation of the series of standards for sustainable development of agricultural product circulation projects, and led planting production enterprises and cooperatives to conduct self-evaluation of the production process, helping them understand the level of food safety control in the base, enhance their awareness of agricultural product quality and safety, and promote the improvement of agricultural product quality and high-quality development.

Following the training, a promotion and sales matching activity for characteristic agricultural products from both regions was held on-site. Representatives of participating chain enterprises and industry experts provided market-oriented guidance on product characteristics and packaging and had in-depth exchanges with supplier enterprises on products of interest.
