On November 2, the public training session for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement of fresh agricultural products, part of the 2024 National Agricultural Product Production-Sales Matchmaking Event (Henan), was held in Xun County. Experts and scholars from the China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA) conducted specialized training, with over 200 participants, including agricultural and rural department officials from across the province and representatives from agricultural cooperatives and family farms in the city. During the training, experts provided detailed explanations on topics such as branding of fresh agricultural products, product innovation, reducing post-harvest losses in agricultural product circulation, and improving circulation efficiency and quality. The session introduced new ideas and strategies for the sustainable development of fresh agricultural product supply chains.
(Wenqing Zhang, Sales Manager of the Shujun Specialty Vegetable Growing Professional Cooperative in Xun County, shared):
"Today's training has improved my understanding of agricultural product quality and safety. In future production, we will place greater emphasis on product quality and safety, ensuring that our products are reassuring for consumers to buy and eat with confidence."
(Zhou Hui, Associate Researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, commented):
"On my way here, I noticed that Xun County has done an excellent job with e-commerce logistics for agricultural products. In the future, I think there’s great potential to improve cold chain logistics. By enhancing pre-cooling at the production sites, we can extend product shelf life, improve product appearance, and lay a solid foundation for increasing farmers’ incomes."
