Supporting scheme for MSMEs by building sustainable agricultural fresh food production and logistics in China (SAFE) Supports Agricultural Product Quality Enhancement in Sanshigang Township, Hefei

On September 6, at the invitation of the Sanshigang Township Government in Luyang District, Hefei City, the SAFE Project and Fresh Agricultural Product Quality Improvement Training Session was successfully held at the township government auditorium. 34 cooperatives and 60 farmers participated in the training and were awarded certificates upon completion.

Deputy Mayor Hongzhao Xu of Sanshigang Township delivered the opening speech, expressing hope that the SAFE Project training would contribute to upgrading the local agricultural value chain.

The training featured three distinguished experts: Professor Zhongyue Wang from the Institute of Plant Protection at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Project Director Hai Wang from Shanghai Yuezi Business Consulting Co., Ltd., and Director Si Huang from the Sustainable Education and Training Division of the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL). They provided lectures on the scientific use of plant protection products, standardized grape cultivation, and pest control, the application of standardized fruit and vegetable reusable plastic crates for fresh produce, and key aspects of quality and sustainable management during fruit and vegetable cultivation.

Participants reported that the training not only enhanced their awareness of agricultural product quality, safety, and sustainable management but also deepened their understanding of the convenience and benefits of using reusable crates.

The SAFE Project contributes to promoting the entry of high-quality local agricultural products into the national market and empowers the comprehensive quality cultivation of farmers, contributing to rural revitalization.
