On September 11, the first online live training session of the SAFE Project, dedicated to Shanxi, successfully concluded. A total of 1,393 participants attended the session, with 136 cooperatives and 45 farmers earning training certificates.
The training featured Associate Researcher Hui Zhou from the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Development at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Zhou delivered a lecture on food safety management for agricultural production bases, aiming to enhance local agricultural practitioners’ awareness of food safety, improve the quality of base products, and strengthen sustainable management capabilities.
The session also invited Chenming Zuo, Deputy Director of the Research Center and Director of the Rural Revitalization Research Center at Taotian Group, who provided insights on building e-commerce supply chains for agricultural products. Using a wealth of case studies, Zuo highlighted strategies to promote rural digital transformation and advance new agriculture development.
This training received strong support from the Shanxi Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It aims to further empower local pilot areas for green agricultural development, enhance the quality of fresh agricultural products, facilitate market connections for premium agricultural goods, and ultimately contribute to rural prosperity and farmer income growth.
